Pal’s BEI is big news nationwide

While most in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia know and love Pal’s Sudden Service, pedestrians in Times Square in New York City are just learning about the legendary burger chain.

A recent Kingsport Times-News article on the 22-unit restaurant chain was carried by the national news media and a photo from the article and headline made it to one of Time Square’s giant electronic billboards. The article focused on Pal’s Business Excellence Institute (BEI) that offers expert training in organizational management and efficiency that is at the heart of Pal’s success.

PRN13-PALS-SUDDEN-SERVICE-ts“There has been tremendous interest in BEI since the publication of the article,” explained Pal’s President and CEO Thom Crosby. “Our Pal’s employees are proud of their recognition as part of the nation’s best fast food chain. The article has also sparked new inquiries from other businesses wanting to learn more about BEI and attend one of our courses.”

Pal’s Sudden Service set a new standard for performance among restaurants in 2001 when it was chosen by the U.S. Department of Commerce as a Baldrige National Quality Award winner.  The chain is also the only two-time winner of the Tennessee Quality Excellence Award.  BEI offers training to businesses executives on implementing Pal’s Performance Excellence model in their own companies to maximize efficiency and customer delight.
