Congratulations to the alumni who attended the January 24-25, 2012 public offering of Achieving World-Class Results training. Forbes Collins, Senior Director of Operations, Sizzler USA, said he would tell others that “this class will exceed all expectations”. Pat Murphy, President of Techni-Glass of Tennessee, told us that “I will be getting more of my staff involved ASAP”. Jeff Rigsby, Owner of Bojangles of Western North Carolina, provided feedback that “this class set the bases for changing your culture to give you a competitive advantage”. Congratulations to the Portola Packing – Kingsport management team for completing the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Managers training curriculum in December 2011. The final training event was held at the Meadowview Conference Resort & Convention Center. Pal’s BEI instructor & consultant, Dr. Deborah Harley, conducted this private training curriculum during 2011.

Gary Price, VP of Food Service for Pilot Flying J, described the class as an “absolutely tremendous learning experience”. On October 20-21, 2011 Dr. Deborah Harley conducted a private workshop for Nuclear Fuel Services at their training facility in Erwin, TN on FranklinCovey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. This training was attended by a good distribution of job responsibilities at Nuclear Fuel Services. One the many positive comments about the class was “better than I expected – great insights to interpersonal relationships”

Congratulations to the June 2011 Alumni of LEAN for Service & Healthcare. The alumni include Jon Moorhead and Darren Amspaugh (Legend Valley Pizza), Keith Herman (Tom Wahl’s Restaurants), and Elaine Arnold (Wellmont CVA Heart Institute). These alumni learned about using LEAN principles to identify and remove waste from their operations, and developed a plan of action to apply to their organizations. They were able to look behind-the-scenes at how Pal’s has utilized LEAN to achieve success. Jon Moorehead commented that this is “a must take class”.

On June 9, 2011 Dr. Deborah Harley conducted a custom workshop at the Nuclear Fuel Services training facility in Erwin, TN on Time Management with Microsoft Outlook. This training was attended by a good distribution of job responsibilities at Nuclear Fuel Services. One the many positive comments about the class was “Very practical delivery of knowledge by Dr. Harley. All information will help me be more organized and effective. Good stuff!”
