The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is the highest honor bestowed by the US Department of Commerce to any US business to recognize excellent approaches and business results.  Pal’s Sudden Service earned the award as the first foodservice operation to be so honored in 2001.  All Baldrige winners must agree to share their secrets to success with other businesses.  Thus, Pal’s Business Excellence Institute (BEI)  was born from that commitment.
