Congratulations to the Tempur Production USA leadership team at the Duffield, VA production facility. They completed Pal’s BEI Leadership Development Training – The FranklinCovey Seven Habits for Highly Effective Managers on March 9-10th. This training was conducted by Dr. Deborah Harley who is a facilitator/mentor for the Franklin Covey organization and an Assistant Professor and Director of the Leadership Program in the Department of Human Development and Learning at East Tennessee State University. The training was conducted on site at the Duffield facility.

Congratulations to the March 2011 alumni of the LEAN for Service & Healthcare training. The recent alumni are from Mountain States Health Alliance – Lynn Krutak, Andrew Wampler, John Doyle, and Shane Hilton; from Holston Medical Group - Dr. Wendy Oberdick and Kathy Renfro; and from Piggy Bank Express – Sarah Pope. Lynn Krutak commented that the training was “time well spent; would highly recommend class”. McClaskey Presented McWherter Leadership Award

McWherter Leadership Award Winner at the Excellence in Tennessee Awards Banquet on February 23, 2011. Katie Rawls, President of TNCPE and Mike McWherter, son of former governor Ned McWherter gave the award. The Ned R. McWherter Leadership Award annually recognizes an individual who exemplifies outstanding leadership in the pursuit of performance excellence. Winners are dedicated to the principles of the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence, have furthered performance improvement beyond the boundaries of their organizations and are committed to the core values of the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence program.
